Scott, Ryan, and I recently decided to take Dixon out on the boat. We went to Deer Creek and the water was FREEZING. Ryan had to put on a wetsuit and Scott claims that certain parts of his anatomy headed so far north he didn't think they'd return. Dixon kept begging to get in the water so Scott decided to dip his legs in. He figured if Dixon felt how cold it was, he'd be content to stay on the boat. As it turned out, that only increased his obsession. He ended up swimming in the lake and didn't seem to notice the cold at all. We've been taking him to swimming lessons and letting him play in a cheap pool we bought out in the yard. He loves water. He can't get enough and is totally fearless. He loves taking baths and freaks out when we get him out.

That's funny about the cold water. There is something about kids and cold water. They could care less. We floated down the river in flaming gorge and it literally ached to have my feet in and my kids sat and swam for 30 minutes.
